Improvements to busy Eagle Road are mostly complete, but the project has been suspended for Winter.
Raised medians have been installed from Franklin Road to Oakhampton Drive and the road has been resurfaced from Fairview Avenue to Highway 44 in Eagle.
A new traffic signal is yet to be installed at Wainwright Street and Eagle Road.
The project removed right turn merge lanes at Fairview and Eagle, as well as Chinden Avenue and Eagle Road, forcing drivers to make right turns at those intersections.
The new medians eliminated southbound turns out of various businesses (like Target at Chinden Avenue/Eagle Road, and Albertson’s at Eagle Road/McMillan Road), thereby reducing the risk of accidents with northbound drivers.
