It’s rare to find an honest used car salesperson.
It’s also rare to find an honest auto mechanic.
And, it’s downright amazing when you find both at one dealership.
That dealership is Fairly Reliable Bob’s at 23rd/Main in Boise.
My family has purchased several used vehicles from Butch Petersen at Fairly’s over the past 12 years.
Each time, we’ve enjoyed Butch’s straightforward, honest approach to the used car business.
Butch is more of a counselor and advisor vs. the usual “close the deal” approach found at most dealerships.
Yesterday, I experienced another aspect of Fairly’s when my Yukon’s engine light came on.
I took it in to Fairly’s service department to take advantage of their discounted shop rate (for customers only) and a free loaner car.
I was only a few blocks away when Stacey, Fairly’s very capable service manager called, saying she already knew what had happened.
Seems that I got the retainer cord under the gas cap when I filled my gas tank, which caused a drop in fuel pressure (duh!) 🙁
Took all of 10 minutes and there was no charge for the remedial gas cap instruction! 🙂
I can’t help but wonder what might have happened at another dealership.
Next time you’re in the market for a clean, late model used car, give Butch Petersen a call at (208)724-4106 and experience the best sales and service in the Boise area!
Tell Butch I sent you!
