Murphy, Idaho is located on Hwy 78, about 25 miles south of Nampa.
This quaint old town is the county seat of Owyhee County and is one of the smallest county seats in the U.S.
Murphy was settled in 1899 and formerly served by the Boise, Nampa, and Owhyhee Railroad.
Lying at the base of the Owyhee Mountains, Murphy has its own 2,500’ airport alongside Hwy 78.
The town also is home to the Owyhee County Historical Museum and Library.
