Payette, Idaho is located approximately 50 miles northwest of Boise and about 10 miles north of I-84 on U.S. 95.
It’s the county seat of Payette County with a population of nearly 7,500.
In earlier times, Payette was home to numerous large fruit packing operations that shipped thousands of tons of fresh and dehydrated fruit each year.
Many of the fruit packing plants have been idled, but farming and agriculture remain mainstays of this beautiful rural community.
