Idaho Backroads: Horseshoe Bend, Idaho

Horseshoe Bend is located 26 miles north of Boise on Highway 55 and known to Boise area residents as the first town they pass through on their way to McCall.

The town is a bedroom community for Boise, as well as home to local residents who prefer to live in the foothills.

The Idaho Northern & Pacific Railroad is one of Horseshoe Bend’s main attractions, offering railroad excursions to Banks alongside the scenic Payette River.

I really love that photo of the Horseshoe Bend valley dressed in autumn colors. Very cool Phil!

    Thanks Robert!
I have accumulated photos for a number of outlying towns and have been featuring one each Sunday.
