Idaho Unemployment Rate Drops Again
Idaho’s unemployment rate dropped three-tenths of a percent to 7.1% in September.
That’s the lowest rate since May 2009 as Idaho employers expanded payrolls from August at a higher rate than any time in the past five years.
Payroll expansion was also slightly higher than during the 2003-2007 economic expansion in Idaho.
Along with those encouraging numbers, year-over-year unemployment benefit payments also dropped 36%.
Ada County fared even better, dropping to a strong 6.3% unemployment rate.
This is very encouraging news for Idaho and especially for Ada County!
