U.S. Home Prices Rise
As I posted yesterday, national real estate trends have little to do with the Boise real estate market.
Nonetheless, it’s interesting to note that U.S. home prices rose 3.8% in the 12 months ending July 31st, according to CoreLogic’s price index.
Boise real estate prices rose 14.7% in the same time period.
CoreLogic also reported that U.S. real estate prices remain 27% below their April 2006 peak.
That’s one reason why roughly 1 in 4 U.S. homeowners remain underwater.
My data pertains to Ada County single-family homes on lot or acreage. Data does not include condo or townhome properties.
CoreLogic’s data includes all types of homes.
