Boise Real Estate: Fall Lawn Care

Time flies when you’re having fun, right?

Next Monday is October 1st and Summer is over.

With our cooler temperatures and shorter days, it’s time to cut back on your watering and prepare your lawn for Winter.

Check your sprinklers and adjust them to fewer days of watering per week and shorter watering times.

Your lawn doesn’t require as much water at this time of year as it does during the hot Summer weather and over-watering is not a good idea.

It’s also important that you feed your lawn before it goes dormant in the coming weeks.

I use Scott’s Winterizing Fertilizer applied with a broadcast spreader.

Feeding your lawn before it goes to sleep will help it awaken looking nice and healthy next Spring.
