Boise Real Estate: New Construction Pending Sales

Roughly one in three of our current home sales are new homes in various stages of completion.

Many of these new home sales occur because buyers are unable to find what they want in our slim resale home listing inventory.

Buying a new home, especially a build job, allows buyers to avoid the frustration of multiple-offer bidding wars and paying more than the asking price for a home that may not be exactly what they want.

That’s why many buyers are opting to buy a new home.

Here’s a breakdown of new construction pending sales, broken out by property age.

  • To Be Built: 101 (build jobs)
  • Under Construction: 177
  • New-Never Occupied: 89
  • Total: 367 (29.3% of all 1,251 pending sales)

Data pertains to Ada County single-family homes on lot/acreage. Data does not include condo/townhome properties.
