Here’s a breakdown of 2008 Boise real estate sales, including company name, number of agents, and closed sales:

  • 742 closed sales
  • 32.3 sales per agent

#2 – RE/MAX Capital City

  • 40 agents
  • 900 closed sales
  • 22.5 sales per agent

#3 – John L. Scott

  • 97 agents
  • 971 closed sales
  • 10.0 sales per agent

#4 – Prudential Jensen Real Estate

  • 37 agents
  • 350 closed sales
  • 9.5 sales per agent

#5 – Group One

  • 152 agents
  • 1,186 closed sales
  • 7.8 sales per agent

#6 – Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group

  • 1,022 agents
  • 7,862 closed sales
  • 7.7 sales per agent

#7 – Windermere Capital Group

  • 70 agents
  • 500 closed sales
  • 7.1 sales per agent

#8 – Keller Williams Realty Boise

  • 258 agents
  • 1,575 closed sales
  • 6.1 sales per agent

#9 – Woodhouse Group

Note: RE/MAX West was the leading office with 32.3 closed sales per agent.

    You’ve mentioned several times that the average # of sales per agent in 2008 was 1.5. Perhaps you should add a “#10″ in the post above that is “all other offices” or “everyone else” and put the #s in there if you can get them?
    If you’re talking apples to apples in these posts and it’s all about Ada County, then by my math there must be 7,750 additional agents who closed 0 sales in 2008 to average out to 1.5.
    I really enjoyed this post because it gave me a feel for just how many agents there are/were in the area (and how you are so positively well-known by the general public relative to the large number of agents, I have found). But see if you can complete the picture for me.

    Hi Brian ~
    Welcome back!
    The numbers are extremely confusing and can be manipulated easily.
    We have about 3,150 members of MLS in Ada County.
    My numbers were based upon the number of agents vs. the closed sales for SFR properties in 2008.
    There are many statistics floating around that include ALL members of Intermountain MLS, and I don’t include anyone outside of Ada County because that’s primarily where I specialize.
    Intermountain MLS covers all of SW Idaho from Oregon down to Utah.
