10 Things That No Longer Work In Boise Real Estate
Things have changed in the Boise real estate market and many things that used to work have been rendered ineffective by our new market, including:
- Print media advertising
- Direct-mail advertising
- Floor Time
- Open houses
- Door-knocking
- Cold-calling
- Big, fancy, costly offices
- Hiring lots of new agents
- Agents sitting in their cubicles
- Bragging that you’re #1
Anyone care to add to this list?

11. Craigslist
Have you been there lately? It’s ruckus.
I think that whether you’re a buyer/seller or agent, there are things on that list that that have become ineffective. I will say however, from a Realtors standpoint, that recently I was doing an open house in a new construction home and met some folks that wanted to sell their home. I met with them, showed them the market, we priced it Right and it sold in 4 days. So, from a sellers perspective, the Right price was one of the keys to getting it sold. From an agents perspective, the open house was just a way for me to meet some folks. Unfortunatley, the open house did nothing for the New Construction Home.
