Real Estate Is NOT My Hobby!
It’s pretty obvious that we have too many Realtors® for the amount of business being done in our area.
In the past twelve months, 6,032 transactions were closed in Ada County by roughly 3,800 Realtors®.
That works out to 1.6 closed transactions per agent over the past year.
(I posted four sales last week!)
Many of those agents are part-timers, which explains why they don’t return phone calls. They can’t because they’re at work – on their real jobs!
Consumers want prompt, competent, responsive service and it’s next to impossible to get that level of service from a part-timer.
Real estate isn’t a casual undertaking for me; it has been my full-time chosen profession for more than 36 years!
After all these years, I still thrive on helping my clients achieve their real estate objectives.
Real estate is my profession; not my hobby!

Miami has the same issues. As an attorney and closing agent, I am hopeful that the market downturn will cause the cream to rise to the top. In the last few years I could not believe how many agents seem to not exist until they called my office to inquire after the commission check. Sometimes I had to inform them that the deal had been cancelled the week before!
