Buying A Home In 2005 Was Like An Arranged Marriage

I keep running into people who are longing for the “good old days” of 2005 (mostly sellers).

Remember?

Back when sellers could whisper to someone (anyone!) that they were thinking of selling, then have half a dozen offers above their (already high) asking price?

Obviously, those days are long gone.

Well, I’m here to tell you those weren’t the good old days.

If you bought a home in 2005, it was like an arranged marriage.

You ended up with something you weren’t sure you wanted and weren’t sure you loved.

Yeah, I know ~ let’s not even go there with the “until death do you part” thing, right?
