Idaho's Expanding Technology Sector
Idaho had the 11th fastest-growing high-tech industry in the U.S., according to a recently-released report by the American Electronics Association.
The state ranked 6th in semicondutor manufacturing employment with 11,200 jobs in that sector.
And, Idaho ranked 7th highest with 71 of 1,000 workers employed in technology jobs.
With more than 4,200 jobs in computer and peripheral equipment manufacturing, Idaho ranked #8 in that category too.
Idaho employers have invested more than $1 billion in research and development in recent years.
