Boise Real Estate Investment Profile

According to a recent survey by Loan-Performance, a company that monitors mortgage data, 19.5% of all 2006 year-to-date Boise Area loans were for for investment properties.

Investors accounted for 21% of all loans in the Boise Area during 2005.

The area surveyed included Ada County, Caldwell, and Nampa.

According to the Aca County Assessor, 26% of all properties in Ada County are now rental properties.

Some homeowners’ associations have recently taken actions aimed at controlling the number of rental properties in their subdivisions due to concerns about absentee owners maintaining their rental properties.

Home prices in Ada County rose 27.5% during 2005.
